Dusty Camera

It's been a while since I've posted. I've had a very challenging semester.
Here are some photos I've been meaning to post!

Montery, CA: a place I've been meaning to visit again. With work and school in the way, I can't seem to find any free time anymore.

All of these photos were take in May of 2010 and was the last time I really used my camera just for the hell of it. Now that the weather is nice again, I think I might just lug around my camera with me everywhere I go.

This little guy is special. He literally came right up to my toes! I wanted to c
apture the sadness that I felt at the moment that I saw him/her. All he wanted was some food. The poor guy was starving.

I have a busy next couple of months ahead of me and then I am off to Hawaii for two weeks. I will definitely be bringing my camera with me everywhere I go.

Until next time. :)

Eyes on me

Here are some self portrait shots with help from Jay!

Taken at Naglee Park in San Jose

I finally got my tattoo started! I've been wanting it for a long time and now was the perfect time to get it. Shading is to be complete very soon!

This is my favorite picture and is a recreation photo of a another photo taken of me with my Eeyore pillow doll. I sleep with him every night. :)

Coping with stress

This week has been terribly stressful and it's not going to be any better this coming week. Anyways, here are some shots I got over the course of the week.

Wednesday I went out for sushi and milk tea with my cousin Melissa. This photo was taken straight out of camera.

Saturday I met up with my friend Beverly, her boyfriend Perry, and Perry's son to photo shoot a birthday party at Chuck E' Cheese's.

After the birthday party I ended up meeting up with my cousin Melissa again for milk tea and later on at night I went to hang out with my good friend Christian.

After this long week, it isn't over just yet. I have a baby shower to go to today that I plan on taking pictures at. In fact, I decided that I will carry my camera with me everywhere until the end of the semester

1...2...3...cheese!

I recently started getting interested in photography. It first just started out as a filler class, but now I am genuinely interested. I find it a lot of fun, especially when you go out with a group of people to take pictures of anything and everything. It gives me something to do when I have some free time.

Last week was spring break and my assignment was to take a fun photo while enjoying my vacation. I didn't get to do anything over the break except work, but I made sure I went out to take photos when I had the time. I
ended up going to Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos. My father used to take my siblings and I to this park every now and then when I was growing up and I have become very fond of this park especially after my fathers death. Losing him was one of the hardest things to deal with in my life, especially because he died just a few days before my sixteenth birthday. Going back to the park always brings back warm memories.

Here are some of my favorite photos from that day:

I'm still an amateur photographer, but I'm still learning!

Hello world!

Hello all! I decided a few days ago to start a blog. It's a little something to help keep my mind off a few things and to keep me busy. Here's a little background info on myself. I'm a full time student at San Jose State University and a nutritional science with a concentration in dietetics major. I work at both Surgery Associates as an office clerk and Hot Dog on a Stick part time. Purple is my favorite color! Someday I would like to be able to open up my own practice and help people with their nutrition. I am a shy person, but once I get to know you I tend to open up more. I own a Mazda Miata, which for the meantime is an okay car. It's not exactly convenient, but it has great gas mileage and it gets me places.

On Saturday my boyfriend left for Hyderabad Hyd, India for the month. This will be the longest we have ever been apart. Just think, the most we have ever spent apart from each other is two days. This isn't going to be easy for me, but I have a small selection of wonderful friends to help get me though this next month. Besides, I'm jam packed busy with school, work, and other extra curricular activities.

So far this year has been really crazy. I've had a lot of ups and downs. I've made new friends and have been reconnecting with old friends. With just seven weeks left of school, I want to make the best of it. I've been taking two chemistry classes, a Latin dance class, and a photography class. Chemistry has been a struggle, but I'm getting myself through and hoping I pass. Let's just hope for the best!

Here are a list of things I would like to do this year:
1. Go camping (anyone want to take me?)
2. Management at HDOS (soon to be!)
3. Make new friends (accomplished!)
4. Move out to a new house (hopefully after this semester)
5. Learn how to rockclimb
6. Clean and reorganize the room (should be done this month with the bf is away)
7. Go to Lake Tahoe

Anything else? Who knows! I'm up for pretty much anything!
